This is the ninth year for the Enjoy Jazz festival, and with over 60 performances, parties and other events, this six-week festival will bring around 20,000 visitors from around the world to the Mannheim – Ludwigshafen – Heidelberg area.

In only a few years Enjoy Jazz has grown into one of the most important jazz festivals in Germany, and continues to make ties with the international community as well. Since 2004 Enjoy Jazz has cooperated with the Festival Nancy Jazz Pulsation and is currently cultivating a close relationship with the London Jazz Festival.

This year’s festival opens at the Heidelberg Schloss with saxophonist Archie Shepp and singer Mina Agossi. Throughout the six-week concert, jazz, classic, modern, electro and hip-hop styles will be performed by artists such as DJ Jazzy Jeff, Denzal Sinclaire, the Cinematic Orchestra, Peter Brötzmann, Heinz Sauer, Richard Galliano and David Murray.
